Amb. Amable R. Aguiluz V
Chairman and President
Ambassador Amable R. Aguiluz V is
the pioneer of IT Education in the
Philippines
and is considered as the “Father of Computer Education".
He built the AMA Education System to a P6-billion conglomerate
with 200 schools and 150,000 students from its humble beginning of 13
students. He has
also started conquering
China
,
United States
and
Middle East
. Ambassador Aguiluz has been
the recipient of numerous honors which includes the Medallion of
Bahrain, the President's Medal of Merit, Canada Business Award and the Agora Award.
Presently, he is also serving as the President's Special Envoy to
the Gulf Cooperation Council. Ambassador
Aguiluz is a Business Administration graduate from the University of

Philippines

He has also successfully

Amable Miguel C. Aguiluz IX is
a true blooded ATENEAN. Having spent 19 formative years under the
tutelage of Ateneo, Miguel has learned to live out the mission and
vision instilled by the school in his daily life, as a person…a
son…a father… a friend…a businessman. Miguel
joined the Owner and President Management Program of the

Boston

Massachusetts
, U.SA., from 2003 to 2005 and The
first Filipino and the youngest in his batch of 150 students from all
over the world, who won the First Prize For The Best Corporate Strategy
Award. He attended a course study in Creating Value Through Financial
Management at Wharton
School of Finance,
University of Pennsylvania
,
U.S.A.
He was awarded the
prestigious and highly respected AGORA Award for Entrepreneurship 2001
of the Philippine Marketing Association for his ACA Video and ACA
Franchise Group. In 1999 with the proliferation of pirated films and
the worsening economic crises, he experienced how an industry could
have drastically affected the most successful brands he has built, he saw this as
an opportunity and started developing new products that would require
less capital but still generate high returns, thus the birth of the
following: Ink for Less, IFL PRO, Fix It, Express Cut, Cellphone Lab,
PC Aid, AIX to name a few. In
2002, Miguel conceptualized Ink for Less, the concept is being able to
refill, reuse and recycle empty ink and laser cartridges with the
quality comparative to buying a new one at 80% savings. When the
concept was launched, he was the happiest person to witness being
accepted by the market. To
date, he has now built a network of more that 500 branches all over
the
Philippines
and recognized as the largest in
ASIA
. He is the President of
AMA Group of Companies and President and Chief Executive Officer of
ACA Group of Companies. Dr.
Aguiluz acquired his BS Business Management and MBA from the Ateneo de
Manila University. Very recently, he was conferred the
degree of Doctor of Higher Education Administration by the William
Woods University, Missouri, USA.

Alberto
L. Buenviaje
Director
Mr. Alberto L. Buenviaje is a
Strategic Management Consultant, Chairman of AAK Developers Inc., and
is a member of the Board of AMA Group of Companies, Medical
City, Medical Arts Towers, Inc., First Municipal Development Corporation and other
institutions in various industries. In the academe, he is the
Executive Director of the Ateneo-Regis MBA Program, Dean,
Professor of Strategic Management and Economics at the Ateneo Graduate
School of Business and is a Trustee of AMA University. He is
also a member of the Academic Advisory Board of the League of
Corporate Foundation's CSR Institute. Mr.
Buenviaje was formerly Chairman of the Executive Committee of the
publicly listed Dizon Copper Mines and was CEO of Ventures Bank.
From 1980 to 1984, he worked for the Philippine government
in a concurrent capacity as Chairman and President of its housing bank
(Maunlad Savings Bank), Program Director of the Land Investment Trust
Program and Senior Vice President of Home Financing Corporation.
Mr. Buenviaje is an A.B. Economics (Dean's List) and MBA graduate of
Ateneo De Manila University. He has taken postgraduate studies at the
European Center for Strategic Management of Universities and attended
an intensive course in Strategic Thinking for the New Economy at the
University of Chicago's Graduate School of Business. |
